This site endeavors to portray the history and blood descendants of Patric Duffy, born in the parish of Caldrey, in or near the town of Sligo, County Sligo in western Ireland in the year 1786.
The information contained within this site has been obtained from various living family members and documents that they had in their possession. In some cases the original source is not known and can not be confirmed. Every attempt will be made to verify and give credit to those that originally documented and researched the information contained in these pages. This is an ongoing project and additional information will be added as it becomes available. Also every effort will be made to verify the accuracy of the information and each article will include the details of if and how the information has been validated for accuracy.
This project was started as a result of a family get-together for the 50th birthday of Glenda Duffy when family photos and some known history was viewed and discussed.
It was realized that of (parents uncles and aunts) of those in the room, only one remained and that was an uncle by marriage. Also many of our generation (cousins) had also deceased and the decision was made to collect as much information as possible to pass on to future generations.
You will also find a large amount of history relating to other families related by marriage to the Duffy bloodline.
If you are descendants of or have relevant information regarding any of the family names listed in this site, we would love to hear from you.
This is really the 2nd blog, of urs I browsed.
Yet I enjoy this 1, “The Duffy Family” the best.
All the best ,Juli
